Call or email for the exact dates of the next available Alpha Explosives Safety Seminar. The northern California seminar is held in the spring and the Southern California seminar is held in the fall.

Alpha Explosives presents two explosives safety training seminars each year in California, one is in the north and one is in the south. The material presented is beneficial to all employees involved in the use of explosives whether office, supervisory, or field. The course will cover regulations relating to the transportation, storage, and use of explosive products. In addition to keeping up to date on the ever-changing laws governing explosives, it is an excellent opportunity to prepare for the Cal-OSHA Blaster’s Examination.


Alpha Explosives Safety Seminar

Date:     Generally held on a Monday-Wednesday
               Third day of the seminar is reserved for Cal-OSHA Testing
               (Cal-OSHA Testing only for renewals and upgrades only)

Safety Instruction is offered on the following topics:
  • Above and Underground Construction
  • Above and Underground Mining
  • Avalanche Control
  • Seismic

Testing for Blasting License renewals or upgrades only will be done on the third day of the seminar. If you are not testing you need not attend on that day. Arrangements for new license testing will have to be made directly with CalOSHA representatives. The testing fee is $15.00 made payable by check to the State of California. You must have proof of citizenship or legal residency on file with CalOSHA.
